Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

This policy explains how Optamate ("Optamate", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information through optamate.com and the services on it (the "Site"). Optamate is a registered business name (DBA) of MasterControls, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. The Site is for businesses that buy packaging and automation equipment. Use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Use.

1. Who we are

Optamate
508 Broad St., New Castle, IN 47362
Email: privacy@optamate.com
Phone: 317-342-6729

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details, such as your name, company, email address and password, or, if you sign in with a Google or Microsoft account, the name and email address that provider shares with us, and what you add in your account, such as a job title, phone number, facilities and saved lists.
  • What you send through our forms, such as quote requests, questions, support requests, the details of your application (for example the products you package, line speeds and floor space), the equipment you are interested in, and files you upload.
  • Call bookings, such as your contact details, the time you choose and your time zone.
  • What you tell us by email, by phone or in a meeting.

Our staff can also create an account for you, for example after a call, and add or edit the information in it.

Information we collect automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers collect:

  • Your activity on the Site, such as pages you view, the page you came from, clicks, searches, products you compare or save, downloads and video plays.
  • Session recordings of how you use our pages, such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and what appears on screen. A recording can include information shown on the page, such as the details on your account pages.
  • What you type into our forms before you submit them, so we can follow up if a request is not finished. This happens even if you never press Submit.
  • Your IP address and the approximate location it points to, such as your city, region and country.
  • Information about your device and browser, such as device type, browser, operating system, screen size and language.
  • A visitor ID stored in a cookie, so we can recognize your browser when you come back.
  • A browser fingerprint: our Site reads characteristics of your browser, such as its screen, fonts, time zone and language, to recognize a returning browser.
  • How you found us, such as campaign tags in links, ad click identifiers and the website that sent you.

When you sign in, send a form or book a call, we connect your activity from that browser to you, both what you did before and what you do afterward. When you sign in, we also share your name and email address with our analytics provider so it can link your visits to your account.

Information from other sources

  • Company information from IP addresses: we use IP data providers and our own records to learn which company or network an address belongs to.
  • Information our staff add, such as notes from calls, meetings and trade shows, and business contact details from public sources such as company websites and professional networking sites. Our staff can also connect a browser's activity to a person or company based on this information.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • answer your requests, prepare quotes, sell, deliver, install and service equipment, and hold the calls you book;
  • review your application internally and discuss it with equipment manufacturers, suppliers and Solution Partners to find a solution for you, and introduce you to a Solution Partner or another supplier when that is the better fit (see section 4);
  • run your account and its features, such as saved lists, facilities and filling in your details on forms;
  • follow up on your interest. We combine your activity, requests and company information into a profile, estimate how interested a person or company is, and may estimate which company a visitor works for or which known contact a browser belongs to. This helps our team know whom to contact and when;
  • understand and improve the Site, using analytics, session recordings and error reports;
  • measure our marketing and advertising, including which campaigns and ads lead to requests, and we may use it to show our ads to businesses that may be interested in our equipment;
  • protect the Site against bots, spam and abuse;
  • send you messages about your account and requests, and information about our products and services;
  • comply with the law and protect our rights.

4. How we share information

We share personal information with:

  • Service providers that run parts of the Site and our business for us, such as hosting, databases and sign-in, analytics and session recording, email, calendar and video meetings, security and bot protection, video playback, content and file delivery, IP data, and customer relationship management. Some of these providers also use information for their own purposes, such as security, fraud prevention, product development and improving their services, under their own policies.
  • Equipment manufacturers, suppliers and Solution Partners. We share your request, application details and contact information with them when we discuss your application to find a solution, prepare a quote or fulfill an order, and when a Solution Partner (an equipment manufacturer or integrator) or another supplier quotes you directly. They use your information under their own privacy policies.
  • People who work for us under contract, such as sales callers, to follow up on your interest.
  • Advertising platforms, including Google, Microsoft, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn and X, which we may use to measure our ads and to show our ads to businesses that may be interested. When a request or booking follows a click on one of their ads, we may send that platform the ad click identifier and a hashed version of your email address so it can tell us which ads led to it. We may also share hashed contact details with these platforms to show our ads to people who have visited our Site or are already our contacts. These platforms may receive personal information from us and use it under their own policies, which can include their own measurement and ad targeting. See section 5 for your choices.
  • Video providers, when you press play on a product video. The provider receives your request and may set its own cookies under its own policy.
  • Others when required: to comply with law or legal process, to protect our rights, property or safety and that of others, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business.
  • Anyone else with your consent.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar browser storage to:

  • run the Site, for example to keep you signed in and remember your quote list and recent searches;
  • understand how the Site is used, including analytics, session recordings and the visitor ID described in section 2;
  • remember how you found us, such as the campaign or ad that sent you;
  • protect the Site, for example with a bot check on sign-in pages;
  • play videos, when a video provider's player sets its own cookies after you press play;
  • measure our advertising, when we use the advertising platforms described in section 4;
  • remember your choice about analytics cookies, if you are shown the notice described in section 6.

You can block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. If you do, signing in and some features may not work. Deleting cookies does not stop analytics on your next visit, and it does not remove the browser fingerprint, because the fingerprint is calculated again from your browser.

The Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Other parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our Site, including advertising platforms, video providers when you play a video, and the provider of the bot check on sign-in pages. Their own policies apply.

You can limit interest-based ads in your settings with each advertising platform, and through the industry opt-out pages at https://www.aboutads.info/choices (United States) and https://www.youronlinechoices.eu (Europe). For X, see https://help.x.com/safety-and-security/privacy-controls-for-tailored-ads. Microsoft explains how it handles personal data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkId=517636), and Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at https://business.safety.google/privacy.

6. Visitors outside the United States

The Site is meant for businesses in the United States. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you visit from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we do not set the visitor cookie or run the analytics and session recording described in this policy unless you allow them in the notice we show you. Your choice is stored in a cookie on your browser; you can change it by clearing that cookie. Forms you send, calls you book and your account work the same for everyone.

7. How long we keep information

We may keep personal information for as long as we choose, including indefinitely, unless the law requires otherwise. Closing your account does not delete the requests you sent, the form entries you saved, the files you uploaded, the calls you booked or our analytics records.

8. Your choices and requests

  • You can update your profile, email address, facilities and lists in your account.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to close your account, or to delete your information, by emailing privacy@optamate.com. We may need to confirm the request is from you, and we may keep information we need for our business or for legal reasons.
  • To stop marketing email, follow the opt-out instructions in the email, or email us.
  • You can ask us not to call you.
  • You can manage cookies in your browser settings (section 5).

9. Google and Microsoft account data

Our staff sign in to our internal tools with their Google accounts, and can connect their Google Calendars to the Site. With that access we read the staff member's name and email address to sign them in, read their calendar's busy times to offer open times for calls, and add the calls booked on the Site to their calendar.

Customer accounts sign in with an email address and password. We also offer, or plan to offer, sign-in with a Google or Microsoft account. When you use one, that provider shares your name and email address with us so we can create or open your account; we do not receive your password, your contacts, your files or your calendar, and we do not post or send anything on your behalf.

10. Security

No method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of personal information.

11. Children

The Site is for businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at privacy@optamate.com.

12. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
